Maryland Community Band Day 2013 will be held on Sunday, June 9, at Lurman Woodland Theatre in Catonsville.
The BSB will perform a concert named “Peter and the Wolf and Friends” in conjunction with the Children's Playhouse of Maryland, and the Performing Arts at CCBC. There will be performances at 2:00 pm on April 20 in Catonsville and at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm on April 27 in Essex.
The Baltimore Symphonic Band (BSB) is open to musicians of any age. The repertoire of the band is quite varied and can go up to Grade 6, including classics, contemporary, jazz, show tunes, marches, big band, and more. The band rehearses every Tuesday night, starting at 7:30, on the campus of The Community College of Baltimore County Essex and is a class in which members must enroll. The class can be taken for credit or it may be audited. The BSB welcomes anyone with appropriate playing experience. If interested, feel free to come by some Tuesday night and give the band a try!
The Baltimore Symphonic Band (BSB) is an all-volunteer, non-profit musical organization
dedicated to providing superior quality musical performances for the citizens of Baltimore County and surrounding areas.
The BSB performs formal concerts, and also plays for civic and charitable organizations, retirement communities, nursing homes and hospitals, among other venues.
The Baltimore Symphonic Band is available to add an entertaining musical performance to your event or venue. You, too, can get the diverse repertoire and full, rich sound which only "full size bands" like ours can provide.
